One of the most recent projects at YouthCare Ministries is the Girls Dorm. Like the Boys Dorm, it can accommodate about 15 students, which means that the students who live on campus are spared the often-hours-long walk to and from school each day. Especially for the girls, this can often also be a dangerous trek. One of the young men who recently graduated from YouthCare took us through the Boys Dorm, stopping in the bedroom that used to be his and explaining what a difference it made in his ability to finish school. He shared how grateful he was for a bed, for quiet places, for a light in his room, for regular meals and for the prayer, scripture study/reflection and spiritual growth that accompany everything about daily life at YouthCare.
